dtp was founded in Hamburg in 1995 and began trading as a joint-stock company in 1999. dtp entertainment is a leading publisher, developer and distributor in the entertainment software industry, with a current staff of over 90 employees at its offices in Hamburg (06/2008). dtp entertainment develops and publishes entertainment software for various platforms and distributes its products across a broad range of market platforms through a global network of partners. In 2007 dtp successfully increased its turnover by 80 percent compared to the previous year’s figures.

dtp entertainment’s business activities are concentrated in four pillars: game development, game publishing and distribution, children’s software publishing and distribution, and general distribution services.

dtp entertainment publishes top quality international entertainment software in almost every genre and all platforms. Since establishing dtp young entertainment in 2004, dtp has become a key player in the market for children’s games. With its distribution partner program dtp entertainment has positioned itself as a major full service provider for the German market.

With the addition of veteran German studios Cranberry Production (Hanover; formerly 4Head; 2007) and House of Tales (Bremen; 2008) to the company group, dtp has strengthened its involvement in the development of sophisticated and innovative games while continuing to expand its repertoire of development resources.

dtp entertainment is currently the biggest contractor for German development studios in the entertainment software market.
